It’s nice to have a tool that can tilt a usb device into multiple angles. I never liked the idea of having a usb thumb drive sticking out of the side of my laptop.

With this device, I can fold the thumb drive out of the way. I need to concentrate on doing work, rather than watching out for a thumb drive sticking out at a right angle from my laptop. Now I can use my laptop with a thumb drive on a couch w/o worrying about breaking it off.

It is so useful for plugging in USB devices in tight places. It adjusts to many angles.

I have used my first one for several years and it still works great.

If you’ve ever worked in confined spaces (under a car’s dash, behind a sink, inside an appliance, etc.), you know that at times even small flashlights are too big. Sometimes you need a small light that can wrap around obstructions and light obscured areas.

Until now, in these situations I have used a “Bend-A-Light” that is similar to the Stylus Reach. The standard Bend-A-Light retails for about the same price as the Stylus Reach, so a comparison of the two is useful.

The Bend-A-Light is larger and slightly heavier. Its flexible neck is longer than that of the Stylus Reach (9.5″ vs. 7.5″ from bulb tip to flashlight body). However, the effective reach of the Stylus Reach is greater because its body is only slightly wider than its flexible neck (owing to its use of super-small “AAAA” batteries). The body of the Bend-A-Light houses “AA” batteries and is over twice as thick.

The Stylus Reach also features an aircraft aluminum casing (vs. the Bend-A-Light’s plastic body), a MUCH more flexible neck that is shielded and insulated with PVC, up to 60 hours of run time on one set of three “AAAA” batteries (included), momentary “blink” or constant-on switching, and it’s waterproof! Moreover, it has an unbreakable LED light that burns cool and is as bright or brighter than the Bend-A-Light’s fragile, incandescent bulb.

[I should mention that there is a considerably longer (24"), brighter Bend-A-Light called the "Krypton Pro Bend-A-Light." However, I have no experience with it.]

I am exceptionally impressed with the brightness and quality of the Stylus Reach. It is one of those items that nobody knows they need until they have it. It would make a great gift for any do-it-yourselfer or tech geek.

If Streamlight would make a version of the Stylus Reach with a longer neck, I’d happily buy it, too.

Top quality light in every way: bright white light, durable bulb, strong shaft, on/off switch easy to actuate. Size is perfect the batteries are a little hard to come across and needs an apparatus to focus the light. Still the best pen light I have ever seen or used and anyone who has used my light inquires, how much was it? and where did you get it?

Some people have issues with this cable being easily cut, which leads to their bike being stolen. I want to set the record straight about this product and proper locking methods. These cables are by no means meant to be your sole locking device, but rather, they are meant to be used in conjunction with (ideally) a U-Lock. I work in a bike shop and attend school at Michigan State, a virtual candy store for bike thieves, and as such proper locking is imperative. First off, buy yourself a good U-Lock. I would recommend going with the Kryptonite brand, as they are THE name in bike locks. I myself use what Kryptonite calls the “Fahgettaboudit” which is an 18mm-thick, vinyl-coated monster that would make New York’s most proficient bike thieves shudder. THIS IS WHAT YOU USE TO LOCK YOUR BIKE TO THE STATIONARY OBJECT, not the cable. Put the U-Lock through the frame and through the stationary object. You then use a cable (I reccommend a seven or four-foot KryptoFlex, again, for the same reasons) to act as a secondary security device and, more importantly, SECURE YOUR REMOVABLE COMPONENTS (such as a quick-release wheel or seat). Before closing the U-Lock, put one end of the looped cable onto the U-Lock, then loop the cable through your wheel and seat supports. Put the other end of the looped cable onto the U-Lock, close the U-Lock, and walk away whistling, because your bike is now un-stealable. That is the proper application for these cables.

Okay, so now to actually review the cable. It’s amazing. You cannot top Kryptonite’s quality, and it is very useful. It is also just as resistant to cutting as any other cable you’ll find. Top-notch durability

Now, there’s no doubt that when people walk past your bike, with cables snaking through it like some kind of evil invasive weed, and a five-pound U-Lock hanging off the side, they’ll be thinking “Man, this guy (or girl) is really obsessed with bike security.” But, hey, isn’t that the point?

I recently moved to Minneapolis (which is very bike-friendly) and work downtown. Biking to work is a pleasure and it is nice to have a little piece of mind about the storage of my bike.

Also, I thought the cable would be inconvenient to carry, but it is not.. It can store easily in most bags that you would bike with, or around the handlebars or other parts of the bike. It has a little Velco strip that you can use to keep it looped up.

I definitely think that a longer cable like this 7 footer is a good idea (as opposed to one of the shorter cables). Once you loop it up for storage, it doesn’t take a lot of space, and it offers more flexibility when you lock your bike.

My first one purchased from AT&T broke almost immediately. They replaced it. I wanted to have one on hand just in case. So far, so good. I have one plugged into the wall charger and I have one attached to my PC. Very happy. LOVE MY iPhone!!!

Well, I purchased four of these from one vendor – each would allow me to access my iPhone 3GS for updates, NONE would charge the iPhone. Worthless. I found a fifth from another vendor, which DOES work – I keep it as an emergency backup, and don’t use it much. The plain “electric plug to charge an iPhone” cheapie charger I purchased does that job without problems – it helps charge the iPhone when I’m not on my PC, or need to travel. — I’m not sure now of exactly which vendors are which – I just pass on my experience to the wary buyers out there. Good luck gambling with a or a unit, plus shipping.
