OK peoples, I have a bit of speaker wire, and in this experiment, we’ll see if it will handle a 240v, 3kW load! Toby also makes an appearance! At no time was Toby at risk from the experiment. If I felt that there was any risk to him, I would have kept him indoors, and shut the door. The bit of speaker wire is only a short length. Making the length of speaker wire longer would increase the amount of resistance, and the overheating effect would be greatly accellerated. But, will this one go *POP* ? Let’s turn on the power and find out! There’s an interesting outcome to this video, so much so, that there’s going to be a Part Two. Stay tuned for part Two. @HDXFH Our Toby does feature in other videos. Just search for “Feline” on my channel, & there he is.
Whenever he has a video of his own, the video’s title will always start with “Feline”, in much the same way as meter videos start with “Electricity meter”, timeswitch videos start with “Time Switch”, and so on. 
It just makes it easier to run a search on my channel for a particular subject.
